Job summary

Belvac in Lynchburg, VA is seeking a Scheduling/Planning professional to release and update internal shop orders and keep lead times accurate in the ERP system.

You'll coordinate with Sourcing to balance capacity, review change orders, and drive continuous improvement in scheduling. Minimum 1–2 years in manufacturing is required; on-site work with a strong emphasis on timely communication and cost-aware decisions.

Qualifications

• High School Diploma required.
• Bachelor of Science in Business or related field is preferred.

Responsibilities

• Release and update internal work orders.
• Review and react to expedite and de-expedite requirements for shop orders and raw material purchases.
• Work with Sourcing to outsource and insource as needed for capacity, and ensure decisions consider pricing and delivery.
• Process Add/Deletes.
• Review Change Orders, make determinations on actions needed and send out action item notifications.
• Promote continuous improvement methods relative to scheduling/planning.
• Understand MRP logic, manufacturing capabilities and limitations, to determine how capacities and lead times are calculated in the business enterprise system.
• Understand capacity constraints by process/work center and assess capacity risk.
• Ensure lead times are accurate and maintained in ERP system.
• Monitor and report shortages.
• Review planning parameters and make recommendations on updates and systematic changes.
• Monitor Spares report and keep updated.

General Function

Work Arrangement : Onsite

Pay Range: $55,000 - $62,000 annually

Bonus Eligible: This position is eligible to earn a discretionary bonus based on performance metrics and other criteria outlined in our applicable bonus plan.
