Job summary

Belvac in Lynchburg, VA, is seeking a Sales & Marketing Analyst to collect and analyze data, generate weekly and monthly reports, and present insights to support strategic decisions. You will coordinate with sales teams, monitor market trends, and contribute to forecasting and pricing discussions.

• Monitor pricing, bookings by geography, and support monthly close reports.
• Assist with special projects and provide machine commission reports.

General Function:

Coordinate with inside and outside sales personnel to collect data and evaluate progress of machine, kits, parts and service sales. Analyze and report internal and external data for strategic and performance insight. Evaluate and report market data trends and leading indicators. Provide professional presentations of results both orally and in writing.

Works within, and strives to improve Belvac’s documented Quality Management System (ISO) as it pertains to the job requirements.

Primary Responsibilities:

Sales & Business Marketing

Obtain and provide information necessary for weekly/ monthly sales and marketing reports and to provide financial updated reports. Attend weekly scheduling meetings to communicate and review scheduled ship dates, customer request dates, and volume of work for scheduling upcoming orders.

• Collect and organize market statistical data related to industry sector
• Evaluate, advise and update sales and bookings forecasts on a regular basis
• Create monthly and weekly sales and marketing reports, update weekly manufacturing schedule reports
• Work closely with Finance on Sales activity reports
• Provide Month End Close & Reports
• Provide Month End Sales Attainment (Flash)
• Monitor machine, kits and parts pricing. Recommend changes as appropriate.
• Bookings and Sales by Geography
• Assist with special projects as requested
• Provide Machine Commission Reports
• Analyze and issue reports on quotation activity for monthly and weekly reports
  • Analyze quotation log, investigate and correct omissions and errors
  • Analyze new and revised equipment quotes by region, kits & conversion quotes by region, details of new equipment quotes, spare parts quotes
• Monitor and report market trends in trade literature
• Gather information on competitors
• Provide Industry, Market, Competitor and Company data in support of the Strategic Plan preparation

Education: BS or BA degree in technical or business discipline

Experience and Skills

Five years or more of manufacturing industry experience. Also will consider Bachelor’s Degree in another discipline with strong business experience. Excellent customer service, analysis, communication, business writing and administrative skills. Work within a team environment. Must be proficient in use of all Microsoft Office applications.

Work Arrangement : Onsite

Pay Range: $72,500 - $80,000 annually

Bonus Eligible: This position is eligible to earn a discretionary bonus based on performance metrics and other criteria outlined in our applicable bonus plan.
