Job summary

Belvac United States in Lynchburg, VA is seeking an Operations Planner to release and update internal shop orders and to manage lead times within a manufacturing setting.

The role requires reviewing change orders, coordinating with Sourcing on capacity decisions, and ensuring ERP/MRP lead times are accurate. Onsite work, with potential discretionary bonus based on performance; HS diploma required, BS preferred.

Qualifications

• Minimum 1-2 years of experience in a manufacturing environment.
• High School Diploma required; Bachelor’s in Business or related field preferred.

Responsibilities

• Release and update internal work orders
• Review and react to expedite and de-expedite requirements for shop orders and raw material purchases
• Work with Sourcing to outsource and insource as needed for capacity, and ensure decisions consider pricing and delivery
• Process Add/Deletes
• Review Change Orders, action items notifications
• Promote continuous improvement methods relative to scheduling/planning
• Understand MRP logic and ERP capacity calculations
• Understand capacity constraints by process/work center and assess capacity risk
• Ensure lead times are accurate and maintained in ERP system
• Monitor and report shortages
• Review planning parameters and make recommendations on updates and systematic changes
• Monitor Spares report and keep updated
