Job summary

Salt & Straw in Portland's Central Eastside is seeking a Production Baker II to support our CKOR facility. You will execute recipes, portion and weigh ingredients, operate baking equipment, and ensure food safety and quality across daily production.

Ideal candidates have at least 1 year in commercial food prep, 6 months baking, strong math, and the ability to follow precise recipes in a fast-paced environment.

Qualifications

• Must have at least 1 year of experience in commercial food preparation.
• Minimum 6 months baking experience.
• Ability to follow precise recipes and instructions with strong counting/math skills.

Responsibilities

• Follow recipe specifications and bake batches according to the schedule.
• Organize ingredients, workflow, and complete projects on time.
• Accurately measure, portion, and weigh ingredients.
• Operate baking equipment and ensure correct timing and quality.
• Maintain GMPs, sanitation, and allergen handling procedures.
• Document production data and quantities in NetSuite.
