Cornerstone Building Brands is hiring a Production Associate at our Rocky Mount, VA facility. The role focuses on fabricating components for final window assembly in a fast-paced, physically demanding environment with repetitive tasks.

The position requires standing for long periods and lifting up to 50 pounds, with training to shift to morning hours during the onboarding period. Opportunity to learn multiple production stations and grow within a large national company.

Qualifications

• Must be at least 18 years of age.
• Must be authorized to work in the US.
• Must pass a background check and drug test.
• Ability to carry out written or verbal instructions.
• Ability to stand for extended periods.
• Ability to lift up to 50 pounds repeatedly.
• Prefer manufacturing experience.
• Prefer experience reading a tape measure.

Responsibilities

• Mass-produce windows, doors, and glass units using hand or power tools, saws, welders, or routers.
• Support window operations in delivering, wrapping, loading, and unloading materials.
• Read and follow work orders, labels and schedules; understand verbal and written instructions.
• Provide on‑the‑job training to new employees.
• Operate equipment needed to perform the job.

Job Description

JOB DETAILS

Base Pay Rate: $16.00 per hour, plus $1.45 per hour shift differential

Shift: Weekend 6AM to 6 PM Friday - Sunday

DUTIES AND RESPONSIBILITIES

The Production Associate is responsible for the fabrication and production of the component parts for the final assembly of windows. Successful candidates enjoy working in a fast‑paced, physically demanding, and repetitive work environment, which includes heavy lifting or working with your hands. This job description is reflective of tasks that will be performed in a variety of departments.

• Training period require working Monday through Friday 6a - 6p and could last up to 6 weeks approximately
• Perform repetitive workstation operations to mass‑produce windows, doors, and glass units
• May support the window operations in delivering, wrapping, loading, and unloading of materials or windows
• Perform any workstation function using hand or power tools, saws, welders, or routers
• Understand and carry out verbal instructions
• Read and carry out simple written instructions
• Read work orders, labels, and schedules
• Use a tape measure (will be asked to read measurements during interview), inspect, examine, and observe for product defects
• Make fraction and decimal conversions
• Operate any equipment needed to perform a job
• Perform other duties as assigned
• Provide on‑the‑job training to new employees

Qualifications

• Must be at least 18 years of age to apply

• Must be able to pass a background check and drug test
• Ability to carry out written or verbal instructions
• Ability to stand for extended periods
• Ability to lift up to 50 pounds on a continual basis above shoulder height and below the waist
• Preferably with experience in manufacturing
• Preferably with experience reading a tape measure
