Job summary

Cornerstone Building Brands is hiring a Production Associate to fabricate components for window assembly. You will work in a fast-paced, physically demanding environment handling heavy lifting and using hand or power tools in various departments.

Responsibilities include operating equipment, reading work orders, measuring with a tape, training new hires, and supporting material handling. Must be 18+, US work authorization, and able to pass background and drug tests.

Qualifications

• Must be 18+ years old and authorized to work in the US.
• Ability to stand for extended periods.
• Able to lift up to 50 pounds repeatedly.
• Manufacturing experience preferred.
• Able to read and follow written/verbal instructions.

Responsibilities

• Perform repetitive workstation operations to mass-produce components.
• Assist with delivering, wrapping, loading, and unloading materials.
• Operate hand or power tools, saws, welders, or routers as needed.
• Read and follow simple written instructions and work orders.
• Read measurements and compute fractions/decimals as required.
• Inspect products for defects and report issues.
• Operate equipment necessary to perform the job.
• Provide training to new employees.

JOB DETAILS

Base Pay: $20.00 per hour

DUTIES AND RESPONSIBILITIES

The Production Associate is responsible for the fabrication and production of the component parts for the final assembly of windows. Successful candidates enjoy working in a fast-paced, physically demanding, and repetitive work environment, which includes heavy lifting or working with your hands. This job description is reflective of tasks that will be performed in a variety of departments.

• Perform repetitive workstation operations to mass-produce windows, doors, and glass units
• May support the window operations in delivering, wrapping, loading, and unloading of materials or windows
• Perform any workstation function using hand or power tools, saws, welders, or routers
• Understand and carry out verbal instructions
• Read and carry out simple written instructions
• Read work orders, labels, and schedules
• Use a tape measure (will be asked to read measurements during interview), inspect, examine, and observe for product defects
• Make fraction and decimal conversions
• Operate any equipment needed to perform a job
• Perform other duties as assigned
• Provide on-the-job training to new employees

Qualifications

Education & Experience Requirements

• Must be at least 18 years of age to apply
• Must be authorized to work in the US
• Must be able to pass a background check and drug test
• Ability to carry out written or verbal instructions
• Ability to stand for extended periods
• Ability to lift up to 50 pounds on a continual basis above shoulder height and below the waist
• Preferably with experience in manufacturing
• Preferably with experience reading a tape measure

Physical Requirements:

• Must be able to bend, and able to work in a fast-paced environment
