Job summary

Cornerstone Building Brands is seeking a Production Associate to fabricate and assemble components for windows. The role is fast-paced, physically demanding, and includes repetitive tasks with heavy lifting across multiple departments.

Responsibilities include mass-producing windows, doors, and glass units, assisting with material handling, operating tools and equipment, reading work orders, and maintaining safety and quality while training new hires.

Qualifications

• Must be at least 18 years old.
• Authorized to work in the US.
• Able to pass a background check and drug test.
• Able to read and follow written/verbal instructions.
• Able to stand for extended periods.
• Able to lift up to 50 pounds repeatedly.

Responsibilities

• Perform repetitive workstation operations to mass-produce windows, doors, and glass units.
• May assist with delivering, wrapping, loading, and unloading materials or windows.
• Operate hand or power tools, saws, welders, or routers as required.
• Read and follow work orders, labels, and schedules.
• Use a tape measure and read measurements.
• Inspect for product defects and ensure quality.
• Train new employees on on-the-job tasks.

JOB DETAILS

1st Shift Base Pay Rate: $17.00 per hour Plus $1.00 Shift Differential

2nd shift: Monday-Thursday 3:00 pm-1:30 am

DUTIES AND RESPONSIBILITIES

The Production Associate is responsible for the fabrication and production of the component parts for the final assembly of windows. Successful candidates enjoy working in a fast‑paced, physically demanding, and repetitive work environment, which includes heavy lifting or working with your hands. This job description is reflective of tasks that will be performed in a variety of departments.

• Perform repetitive workstation operations to mass‑produce windows, doors, and glass units
• May support the window operations in delivering, wrapping, loading, and unloading of materials or windows
• Perform any workstation function using hand or power tools, saws, welders, or routers
• Understand and carry out verbal instructions
• Read and carry out simple written instructions
• Read work orders, labels, and schedules
• Use a tape measure (will be asked to read measurements during interview), inspect, examine, and observe for product defects
• Make fraction and decimal conversions
• Operate any equipment needed to perform a job
• Perform other duties as assigned
• Provide on‑the‑job training to new employees

Qualifications

• Must be at least 18 years of age to apply
• Must be authorized to work in the US
• Must be able to pass a background check and drug test
• Ability to carry out written or verbal instructions
• Ability to stand for extended periods
• Ability to lift up to 50 pounds on a continual basis above shoulder height and below the waist
• Preferably with experience in manufacturing
• Preferably with experience reading a tape measure
