Job summary

Cornerstone Building Brands is seeking a Production Associate at the Rocky Mount, VA facility. The role involves fabricating components for final window assembly in a fast-paced, physical environment.

Training may require 6 weeks of Monday–Friday shifts, with potential for 3rd shift duties and a $1.50 per hour differential. Careers include shoe voucher, benefits starting day one, and opportunities to gain hands-on experience with metal and vinyl products.

Qualifications

• Must be at least 18 years old and authorized to work in the US.
• Able to pass a background check and drug test.
• Must be able to stand for extended periods.
• Able to lift up to 50 pounds on a continual basis.
• Preferably with experience in manufacturing.
• Preferably with experience reading a tape measure.

Responsibilities

• Perform repetitive workstation operations to mass-produce windows, doors, and glass units.
• May support the window operations in delivering, wrapping, loading, and unloading of materials or windows.
• Perform any workstation function using hand or power tools, saws, welders, or routers.
• Understand and carry out verbal instructions; read and carry out simple written instructions.
• Read work orders, labels, and schedules; use a tape measure and inspect for defects.
• Operate any equipment needed to perform a job; provide on-the-job training to new employees.

Base Pay Rate: $16.00 per hour plus $1.50 per hour shift differential for 3rd shift

Shift 1st: 6:00 am to 6:00 pm Monday - Friday

Shift 3rd: 6:00 pm to 6:00 am Monday - Friday

DUTIES AND RESPONSIBILITIES

The Production Associate is responsible for the fabrication and production of the component parts for the final assembly of windows. Successful candidates enjoy working in a fast-paced, physically demanding, and repetitive work environment, which includes heavy lifting or working with your hands. This job description is reflective of tasks that will be performed in a variety of departments.

• Training period require working Monday through Friday 6a - 6p and could last up to 6 weeks approximately
• Perform repetitive workstation operations to mass-produce windows, doors, and glass units
• May support the window operations in delivering, wrapping, loading, and unloading of materials or windows
• Perform any workstation function using hand or power tools, saws, welders, or routers
• Understand and carry out verbal instructions
• Read and carry out simple written instructions
• Read work orders, labels, and schedules
• Use a tape measure (will be asked to read measurements during interview), inspect, examine, and observe for product defects
• Make fraction and decimal conversions
• Operate any equipment needed to perform a job
• Perform other duties as assigned
• Provide on-the-job training to new employees

• Must be at least 18 years of age to apply
