Job summary

Cornerstone Building Brands is hiring a Production Associate for the Single Screw - Extrusion on the 1st shift (7am-3pm). This permanent, full-time role involves the fabrication and production of the component parts for the final assembly of windows in a fast-paced, physically demanding environment.

Candidates should be able to stand for extended periods, lift up to 50 pounds, read measurements with a tape measure, and pass a background check plus drug test.

Qualifications

• Must be at least 18 years old.
• Authorized to work in the US.
• Ability to pass a background check and drug test.
• Preferred experience in manufacturing and reading a tape measure.

Responsibilities

• Perform repetitive workstation operations to mass-produce windows, doors, and glass units.
• May support window operations in delivering, wrapping, loading, and unloading of materials or units.
• Use hand or power tools, saws, welders, or routers as needed.
• Provide on-the-job training to new employees.

Base Pay Rate: $16.00 per hour

Monday - Friday 7am-3pm

DUTIES AND RESPONSIBILITIES

The Production Associate is responsible for the fabrication and production of the component parts for the final assembly of windows. Successful candidates enjoy working in a fast-paced, physically demanding, and repetitive work environment, which includes heavy lifting or working with your hands. This job description is reflective of tasks that will be performed in a variety of departments.

• Training period require working Monday through Friday 6a - 6p and could last up to 6 weeks approximately
• Perform repetitive workstation operations to mass-produce windows, doors, and glass units
• May support the window operations in delivering, wrapping, loading, and unloading of materials or windows
• Perform any workstation function using hand or power tools, saws, welders, or routers
• Understand and carry out verbal instructions
• Read and carry out simple written instructions
• Read work orders, labels, and schedules
• Use a tape measure (will be asked to read measurements during interview), inspect, examine, and observe for product defects
• Make fraction and decimal conversions
• Operate any equipment needed to perform a job
• Perform other duties as assigned
• Provide on-the-job training to new employees

• Must be at least 18 years of age to apply

• Ability to lift up to 50 pounds on a continual basis above shoulder height and below the waist
• Preferably with experience in manufacturing
