Job summary

Goodyear in Phoenix is seeking a Retread Technician to join the on-site team. You will participate in recapping, remolding, and extending tire life, supporting every stage from inspection to final quality checks.

No prior experience is required as Goodyear will train you in the retread process. The role offers starting pay of $20.00 per hour, comprehensive benefits, and opportunities for career advancement within Goodyear Commercial Tire & Service Centers.

Qualifications

• Candidates must be at least 18 years old.
• No experience required; training provided for required skills.
• Manufacturing or general labor experience is helpful but not required.

Responsibilities

• Inspect the tires to assess retread viability.
• Buff the casing to remove worn tread and prepare for retread.
• Remove embedded objects, rust, and repair the tire casing.
• Using rubber cement or a patch, repair the casing and apply new tread.
• Build the tire by applying new tread and cure the retreaded tire.
• Conduct final inspection to ensure safety and quality.
