Job summary

Goodyear is hiring for a Retread Technician to extend tire life by recapping, remolding, and retreading tires. The role supports the retread process through multiple stages from inspection to final quality checks.

Responsibilities

• Inspect tires to assess retread viability.

• Repair casing with rubber cement or patch before applying new tread.
• Build tire by applying new tread.
• Cure tire to set retread application.
• Perform final inspection for safety and quality.

Stating Pay: $21.00 - $24.00 + Incentives + Weekly PayBase pay offered may vary depending on factors such-as job-related knowledge, skills, experience, and market location. About the Role: What will you do?

As a member of our retread team, you will play a role in recapping, remolding, or in other words, extending the life of an existing tire to get it back on the road! In our retread plants you will have the opportunity to support the retread process through various stages:

• Inspect the tires to assess if they can be retread
• Buff the casing to remove any worn tread
• Remove embedded objects, rust, and repair the tire casing
• Using rubber cement or a patch, repair the casing before applying new tread
• Building the tire by applying new tread
• Curing the tire to mold the retread application
• Final Inspection to assess a safe and quality product
