Job summary

The Goodyear Tire & Rubber Company in Cranston, RI is hiring for an entry-level Retread Technician. No experience required; you will be trained in retreading tires and supporting the production line.

Responsibilities

• Inspect the tires to assess if they can be retread
• Buff the casing to remove any worn tread
• Remove embedded objects, rust, and repair the tire casing
• Using rubber cement or a patch, repair the casing before applying new tread
• Building the tire by applying new tread
• Curing the tire to mold the retread application
• Final Inspection to assess a safe and quality product

About the Role: What will you do?

As a member of our retread team, you will play a role in recapping, remolding, or in other words, extending the life of an existing tire to get it back on the road!

• Inspect the tires to assess if they can be retread
