Job summary

Cornerstone Building Brands in North Brunswick Township, NJ seeks a Glass Stacker to fabricate Insulated Glass units on the Intercept Glass Lines. The role involves fast-paced, physically demanding work with heavy lifting and precision stacking.

Shifts are 2nd, 3:45 pm–12:15 am, Monday–Friday. Candidates should be able to lift up to 50 pounds, stand for the shift, and work well with a partner to ensure quality placement and line efficiency.

Responsibilities

• Places spacers onto glass units and stacks a second lite according to quality specifications.
• Maintains cycle time on the line.
• Moves carts in and out of production areas.
• Communicates quality issues observed upstream or downstream.
• Reports machine/mechanical issues to leadership or maintenance.

Base Pay: $17.75 per hour

2nd Shift: 3:45 pm - 12:15am M-F

DUTIES AND RESPONSIBILITIES

The Glass Stacker is responsible for the fabrication and production of Insulated Glass (IG) units on the Intercept Glass Lines. Successful candidates enjoy working in a fast-paced, physically demanding, and repetitive work environment, which includes heavy lifting or working with your hands.

• Places spacers onto glass light and 2nd glass lite on top of spacer according to quality specifications
• Consistently hold cycle time of the line
• Movement of carts in and out of production work area
• Communicate quality issues observed either upstream or downstream of their position
• Communicate mechanical issues with the machines to leadership or maintenance staff

Qualifications

• Must be able to lift up to 50 pounds occasionally and stand for duration of entire shift.
• Must have fine motor skills. Stacking requires precision placement of spacer on the glass units and alignment of 2nd glass lite onto the spacer
• Ability to work in tandem with another operator
• Ability to locate minor quality defects in glass, grids and spacers
• Must cross-train and rotate on various workstations within line/complex.
• Ability to comprehend written work instructions, standard work and quality documents
• Ability to move carts of glass in and out of production areas
• 1 - 3 years of experience working in a manufacturing environment preferred
