Cornerstone Building Brands is seeking a Production Associate 2 for the Glass Intercepts on the 2nd shift in North Brunswick Township, NJ. The role involves fabricating insulated glass units, heavy lifting, and precise spacer placement on the IG lines.

Base pay is $17.75 per hour with shift from 3:45 pm to 12:15 am (M-F). Candidates should have 1–3 years in manufacturing, good motor skills, and ability to work as part of a team in a fast-paced, physical environment.

Qualifications

• Must be able to lift up to 50 pounds occasionally and stand for the duration of the shift.
• Fine motor skills required for precise spacer placement on glass units.
• Ability to work in tandem with another operator and rotate across stations.
• 1–3 years of experience in a manufacturing environment preferred.

Responsibilities

• Fabricate and produce IG units on the Intercept Glass Lines.
• Place spacers onto glass and align 2nd glass lite onto the spacer.
• Maintain line cycle times and move carts in/out of production area.
• Communicate quality issues upstream/downstream and report mechanical issues.

JOB DETAILS

Base Pay: $17.75 per hour

2nd Shift: 3:45 pm - 12:15am M-F

DUTIES AND RESPONSIBILITIES

The Glass Stacker is responsible for the fabrication and production of Insulated Glass (IG) units on the Intercept Glass Lines. Successful candidates enjoy working in a fast-paced, physically demanding, and repetitive work environment, which includes heavy lifting or working with your hands.

• Places spacers onto glass light and 2nd glass lite on top of spacer according to quality specifications
• Consistently hold cycle time of the line
• Movement of carts in and out of production work area
• Communicate quality issues observed either upstream or downstream of their position
• Communicate mechanical issues with the machines to leadership or maintenance staff

Qualifications

• Must be able to lift up to 50 pounds occasionally and stand for duration of entire shift.
• Must have fine motor skills. Stacking requires precision placement of spacer on the glass units and alignment of 2nd glass lite onto the spacer
• Ability to work in tandem with another operator
• Ability to locate minor quality defects in glass, grids and spacers
• Must cross-train and rotate on various workstations within line/complex.
• Ability to comprehend written work instructions, standard work and quality documents
• Ability to move carts of glass in and out of production areas
• 1 - 3 years of experience working in a manufacturing environment preferred
