Job description

  • Perform multiple jobs in rotation on the production line
  • Monitor the manufacturing process
  • Make boxes, package, and palletize products
  • Inspect cheese products, packing, and boxes for damage and report deficiencies
  • Follow GMP, food, equipment, and operating safety requirements
  • Complete cleaning and workplace sanitation requirements
  • Record production information on a tablet, scanner, computer, or by hand
  • Identify process variations, troubleshoot, and report unresolved issues to the supervisor
  • Learn and perform Mixer, Blender Operator, Cheese Grinder, and Forklift positions, with emphasis on Cheese Grinding
  • Weigh and mix dry ingredients using correct powders, lot numbers, and batch amounts
  • Prepare cheese grinder and bag cheese into specified amounts
  • Set up batches, communicate lot numbers and changes, and perform forklift maintenance checklist
  • Help with breaks and other areas as needed
  • Maintain a neat and orderly work area
  • Report to the supervisor or lead on duty
  • Work other shifts or temporarily move to other plant departments when required
  • Perform related duties assigned by the Supervisor or Management
  • Attend required company training
  • Support work in all areas as needed
Requirements
  • High School Diploma or equivalent
  • Must be at least 18 years old
  • Ability to communicate in English
  • Ability to perform all tasks in a busy environment with limited supervision
  • Ability to stand, walk, bend, twist, push, pull, and lift up to 60 pounds
  • Ability to perform repetitive motions and safely operate equipment while following safety and quality procedures
  • Ability to work in variable temperatures, moderate to loud noise, and use required PPE
  • Previous manufacturing experience (desired)
  • Knowledge of Good Manufacturing Practices (GMPs) (desired)
