Qualifications

• Reading, writing and communication in English required.
• Experience in food environment or consumer product preferred.
• 3+ months of manufacturing experience preferred.
• Food manufacturing experience preferred.
• Able to lift and dump 50 lb bags into IBCs and handle up to 55 lbs.

Responsibilities

• Manually lift and dump 50 lb ingredient bags into IBCs in the Dump Room
• Operate production and cleaning equipment
• Adjust machines during operations and downtime cleaning activities
• Complete daily production logs and reports, including HACCP and cGMP forms
• Verify product integrity during manufacturing
• Perform equipment and product changeovers as designated by the Production Supervisor
• Keep work areas clean and free of debris and foreign material
• Communicate equipment troubleshooting and corrective actions to the production supervisor or plant manager
• Provide on-the-job training for employees
• Complete and document quality control checks
• Report food safety problems and risks of intentional harm or unauthorized persons
• Liaise with production personnel to ensure the production plan is followed
• Perform safety inspections
• Troubleshoot defects and maintain product quality
• Communicate safety or quality issues to appropriate leadership
• Fill out documentation correctly and clearly
• Assist in maintaining and promoting the Safety Culture
• Perform other duties as assigned

Job description

• Manually lift and dump 50 lb ingredient bags into IBCs in the Dump Room
• Operate production and cleaning equipment

Requirements

• Ability to read, write, and communicate in English is required
• Experience in food environment or consumer product preferred
• Preferred 3+ months of manufacturing
• Food manufacturing experience preferred
• Ability to manually lift and dump 50lb bags of ingredients into IBCs
• Ability to repeatedly maneuver up to 55 lbs of materials
• Ability to lift up to 55 lbs frequently from 6 inches off ground to waist
• Ability to lift up to 30 lbs occasionally from waist to shoulder
• Ability to carry up to 55 lbs occasionally up to 5 ft
• Ability to pull a 55 lb bag from a height of 60 inches occasionally
• Ability to perform constant standing and walking, and frequent bending and stooping
• Ability to wear required PPE: lab coat, safety shoes, safety glasses, bump cap, hearing protection, hair net, beard net, and nitrile gloves
• Knowledge of safety procedures and machine safety points
• Understanding of powder differences and procedures for allergen and flavor cleans
