This full-time hybrid role supports the Pre-Production Manager and Publications Operations Manager, helping manage a high-volume schedule and keeping projects on time and within budget.

Ideal candidates have a 4-year degree in English, Communications or related fields, strong MS Office skills, exceptional attention to detail, and excellent written and verbal

Responsibilities

• Support the Pre-Production Manager and Publications Operations Manager with the production of a high volume of audiobook projects.
• Assist manuscript preparation for production.
• Assist production administrative duties, including invoicing and data entry.
• Troubleshoot production workflow issues.
• Provide project support for other production departments when needed.

Tantor Media, a division of RBmedia, is one of the largest audio book publishers in the World. Tantor Media has over 20 years of experience in the audio market. Tantor Media currently has an opening for a Production Assistant. The Production Assistant must be able to conduct work in the state of CT including out of the Tantor Media headquarters in Old Saybrook, CT. This is a hybrid position based in the state of Connecticut. This is an exciting opportunity to join a growing business.

Position Summary:

Tantor Media is looking for a detail-oriented professional who loves to read and is invested in learning about the audiobook publishing industry. This is a full-time position (40 hours weekly) and will report directly to the Pre-Production Manager. This opening is available to internal and external applicants.

Position Responsibilities (including but not limited to):

• · The primary responsibility for this role is to support the Pre-Production Manager and Publications Operations Manager with the objective of managing tasks associated with the production of a high volume of audiobook projects annually. The organization and time-management aspects of this role are pivotal to keeping production running smoothly and within time and budget deadlines.
• o Assist the Pre-Production Manager and Editorial team with manuscript preparation
• o Assist with production administrative duties, including but not limited to invoicing and data entry
• o Assist troubleshooting production workflow issues
• o All around project support for other key production departments when needed

Qualifications:

• 4-year degree in English, Communications, Journalism or other related fields
• · Proficiency in Microsoft Office (Word, Excel, Outlook)
• · Exceptional attention to detail, organizational skills, and the ability to multi-task
• · Strong written and verbal communication and follow-up skills
• · Motivated self-starter with a constant desire to meet and exceed goals and deadlines
