Qualifications

Responsibilities

• Provide clerical support to production control and plant manager.
• Audit and adjust production schedules based on forecasts to maintain inventory and on-time shipment.
• Develop mitigation strategies to achieve on-time shipment goals.
• Expedite and track hot and special orders, reporting status to Plant Manager.
• Participate in total quality management and LEAN initiatives to reduce waste.
• Coordinate shipping quantities with the shipping department and logistics partners.
• Collect and analyze daily production metrics (OEE, on-time, etc.).
• Ensure accuracy of labor reports and job costing.
• Maintain safety and quality compliance; report concerns promptly.
• Perform other duties as assigned by APP Leadership.

Job Summary:

We are looking for Production Administration Specialist that will support production departmental clerical, data analysis, and special projects tasks.

Job Requirements:

• Perform clerical duties and various assignments related to production control as assigned by the plant manager.
• Provide cross-functional administration support to facilitate seamless information flow.
• Audit and adjust production schedules based on a continuous analysis of customer forecasts to maintain optimal inventory levels and meet On-Time Shipment.
• Develop mitigation strategies to achieve On-time Shipment goal.
• Expedite and follow “Hot” or “Special” orders through each process, reporting status and exceptions to the Plant Manager.
• Participate in total quality management projects to achieve continuous improvement.
• Must coordinate ship quantities with the shipping department.
• Coordinate with customers to gather shipping information and coordinate with logistics companies.
• Effectively compute and analyze daily key production metrics (OEE, On-Time, etc.).
• Ensure data accuracy/integrity of labor reports & job costing.
• Participate in total quality management projects to achieve continuous improvement.
• Participate in LEAN manufacturing to reduce waste via DOWNTIME. i.e., identify paper-work reduction initiatives to streamline the way the administrative team collects and utilizes information.
• Maintain an acceptable attendance record.
• Report any safety or quality concerns immediately to the department manager.
• Comply with all APP, Inc. safety rules and company policies.
• Ensure any accident or injury is promptly reported.
• Wear proper Personal Protection Equipment in work area at all times.
• Perform any other duties not mentioned above when instructed to do so by the APP Leadership.

Skill Requirements:

• In compliance with ITAR regulations, must be a US Citizen or US Person.
• High School or equivalent.
• 4+ years’ experience in an office environment.
• Proficient English (reading, writing, verbal and comprehend)
• Advanced computer literacy, typing skill, Microsoft Office, Excel, Power-Point.
• Statistics (identifying trends)

• Must be detailed oriented
• Must be able to work with minimal supervision.

Preferred Qualifications:

• Manufacturing ERP system experience.
• Associate’s Degree in a related field.
• 1+ year in a manufacturing setting
• Bilingual Spanish a plus.

Compensation:

$20.25 - $25.96 an hour. This is the lowest to highest hourly rate we in good faith believe we would pay for this role at the time of this posting. We may ultimately pay more or less than the posted range, and the range may be modified in the future. An employee’s pay within the salary range will be based on several factors including, but limited to, relevant education, qualifications, certifications, experience, skills, seniority, geographic location, performance, and business or organizational needs.
