Job summary

Aluminum Precision Products, Inc. in Oxnard, CA is seeking a Product Process Technician responsible for distributing departmental records and supporting manufacturing processes across the aerospace open and closed die forging operations.

You will collaborate with cross-functional teams to improve safety, quality, throughput and cost efficiency while ensuring compliance with aerospace standards and APP policies.

Qualifications

• 2+ years’ experience in a heavy manufacturing environment.
• ITAR/EAR considerations and U.S. export regulation awareness.
• Proficient with standard PC applications and ERP-related programs.
• Excellent written, verbal and presentation communication skills.
• Ability to interpret blueprints and GD&T.

Responsibilities

• Collaborate with Product Development Engineer and CI teams to generate data (OTD, cost, efficiency).
• Generate forge procedures and work instructions.
• Standardize tryout processes across locations where possible.
• Support APP facilities and interact on the shop floor to optimize processes.
• Provide reports and updates to leadership to achieve results.
• Gather data and interpret process cause/effect relationships.
• Schedule developmental runs and review forging simulation data.

Job Summary

TheProduct Process Technician will be responsible for distributing departmental records, supporting companywide manufacturing processes. The position requires intercompany departmental collaboration related to aluminum aerospace open and closed die forgings. The Product Process Technicianwill be working as part of cross-functional teams to focus on the improvement of safety, quality, throughput, and cost efficiency while ensuring compliance with aerospace industry and APP standards.

Job Requirements

• Work in coordination with Product Development Engineer and continuous improvement teams to generate data, (OTD, costing, efficiency, effectiveness), for improvement projects.
• Generate forge procedures and work instructions.
• Standardize the tryout process for all locations, where possible
• Embrace and promote the company’s culture beliefs as a means to achieve the Key Results.
• Support other APP, Inc. facilities.
• Interact on the shop floor throughout the company to problem solve and optimize current processes and procedures.
• Provide reports and updates to various levels of the organization to achieve desired results.
• Perform other duties as required by APP Leadership that are essential with the job duties.
• Gather and have ability to interpret process cause and effect data.

• Provide Production support, monitor production runs, generate comparative run data for performance to APP Key Results
• Schedule and coordinate developmental runs in coordination with management
• Review and analyze forging simulation data to detect forging issues

Skill Requirements

• 2+ years’ experience in a heavy manufacturing environment.
• This position may require access to information subject to the International Traffic in Arms Regulations (ITAR) and/or the Export Administration Regulations (EAR). To conform to U.S. Government export regulations, applicant must be a (i) U.S. citizen or national, (ii) U.S. lawful, permanent resident (aka green card holder), (iii) Refugee under 8 U.S.C. § 1157, or (iv) Asylee under 8 U.S.C. § 1158, or be eligible to obtain the required authorizations from the U.S. Department of State.
• Intermediate Computer Skills: Applicant Should comfortably work with standard PC applications, (Word, Excel, PowerPoint, Project, Outlook, Internet) as well as using ERP and related computer programs.
• Excellent written, verbal and presentation communication skills.
• Basic add, subtract, multiply, divide, percentages.
• Have a positive and have a professional attitude.
• Must be willing and able to drive results.
• Possess critical thinking, problem solving, and deductive reasoning skills.
• Possess organizational, analytical, writing, and people skills.
• Ability to travel for business.
• Basic knowledge of interpreting blueprints, customer specifications, GD&T.

Compensation

$25.57 - $36.26 an hour. This is the lowest to highest hourly rate we in good faith believe we would pay for this role at the time of this posting. We may ultimately pay more or less than the posted range, and the range may be modified in the future. An employee’s pay within the salary range will be based on several factors including, but limited to, relevant education, qualifications, certifications, experience, skills, seniority, geographic location, performance, and business or organizational needs.
