Job summary

Aluminum-Precision-Products in Santa Ana is seeking a Production Supervisor to coordinate and supervise the fabrication, assembly, and repair of aluminum components. You will organize tasks, monitor schedules, and ensure quality to meet production goals.

The role oversees 20+ workers, trains staff, and collaborates with management to implement lean improvements and corrective actions. Strong leadership, blueprint-reading, and English fluency are required.

Qualifications

  • 1-2 years’ lead experience.
  • High School diploma or GED.
  • Read and interpret blueprints.
  • English reading/writing fluency.
  • Manufacturing/production experience a plus.

Job description

Job Summary:

The Production Supervisor coordinates and supervises activities of workers engaged in fabricating, assembling, modifying, or repairing parts, assemblies, tooling and related items used in aluminum alloy manufacturing.

Job Requirements:
  • Organizes and assigns tasks to workers throughout the day ensuring production schedule is followed.
  • Ensure operating efficiencies are met and production remains on schedule.
  • Assures quality and production requirement are met, as per job-specific travelers.
  • Works with Press Lead to share information regarding job priorities daily.
  • Dedicated to continuous improvement and lean manufacturing.
  • Writes accident reports and leads RCCA based accident investigations and appropriate corrective actions.
  • Perform regular production job functions (grinder, deburrer, saw, etch, etc.) as needed.
  • Analyzes work orders and other specifications.
  • Coordinates projects between management and workers.
  • Assure correct labor reporting and product counts.
  • This position supervises 20 or more workers. Responsible for training employees in the operation of production machines, tools and equipment.
  • Perform any other duties not mentioned above when instructed to do so by the APP leadership.
Skill Requirements:
  • 1-2 years’ experience in lead role
  • 1-2 years of High School or equivalent.
  • Leadership experience in a manufacturing/production environment.
  • 3+ month’s related manufacturing/production experience.
  • Pass Written and Practical Test
  • Be able to read and interpret blueprints and specifications
  • Be able to communicate with others with diplomacy and professionalism.
  • Have the ability to assist and lead others.
  • Handle multiple projects and priorities and perform well under pressure
  • Mathematical Skills – Intermediate
  • Must speak, read and write in English.
  • Computer skills (Windows, Excel, Word, and Email)
  • Must be willing to work 1st & 2nd Shift
  • Diplomatic and professional when communicating with others

Preferred Requirements:
  • High School diploma, GED or higher level education.
  • Have knowledge of forged parts/fixtures a plus.

Compensation:

$25.57 - $34.09 an hour. This is the lowest to highest hourly rate we in good faith believe we would pay for this role at the time of this posting. We may ultimately pay more or less than the posted range, and the range may be modified in the future. An employee’s pay within the salary range will be based on several factors including, but limited to, relevant education, qualifications, certifications, experience, skills, seniority, geographic location, performance, and business or organizational needs.
