Job summary

Alvarez & Marsal seeks a Manager – Product & Technology within the Technology Industry Group (TIG) for Private Equity. You will evaluate product roadmaps, architecture, and SDLC, partnering with senior R&D and PE stakeholders to drive value across deals and portfolio companies.

The role emphasizes cross-functional leadership, cloud architecture expertise, and data-driven decision making to improve product outcomes in high-growth PE scenarios.

Qualifications

• 5–9+ years in product management roles in software or tech
• Exposure to private equity sponsors, portfolio companies, or related transaction/merger integration is a bonus
• Proven experience building or evaluating product roadmaps and aligning engineering spend
• Strong cross-functional teamwork and leadership capabilities
• Deep system design acumen with experience evaluating tech and product interviews
• Hands-on knowledge of modern cloud architecture and SDLC practices

Responsibilities

• Assess product strategy, roadmap, and portfolio mix to align with business objectives and market opportunities
• Complete product feature parity assessments and develop integration strategy for M&A activity
• Assess product team structures, roles, interaction models, and scalability improvements
• Evaluate KPIs, OKRs, and analytics frameworks tied to product success and ROI
• Evaluate market analysis, competitive benchmarking, and customer feedback for PMF and differentiation
