Job summary

Alvarez & Marsal (A&M) is seeking a seasoned Product leader to join the Private Equity Performance Improvement (PEPI) – Technology Industry Group. You will oversee product strategy across the deal lifecycle, from pre‑deal tech reviews to post‑deal performance improvements, partnering with portfolio companies to drive ROI and modernization.

Lead cross‑functional teams, assess roadmaps, and shape product decisions to maximize value for private equity sponsors in the technology sector.

Qualifications

• 3–5+ years in PM roles in mid to large software or semiconductor companies.
• Exposure to private equity sponsors, portfolio companies, or related transaction/merger integration is a bonus.
• Proven experience in building or evaluating product roadmaps, prioritizing features, and aligning engineering spend with strategic goals.
• Strong understanding of cross‑functional teamwork required to deliver high‑quality features on time and within scope.
• Familiarity with Agile SDLC, DevOps practices, and tooling (CI/CD, IaC, SAST/DAST).
• Bachelor’s or master’s degree in Business, Engineering, or a related field; MBA preferred.

Responsibilities

• Assess product strategy, roadmap, and portfolio mix to align with objectives and market opportunities.
• Complete feature parity assessments and develop product integration strategy for M&A activity.
• Assess product team structures, roles, and interaction models to improve scaling and efficiency.
• Evaluate KPIs, OKRs, analytics frameworks and data-driven decision processes.
• Conduct market analysis, competitive benchmarking, and customer feedback to validate product-market fit.
