Job summary

Circle seeks a Director of Product & Technology Communications to own the company’s media narrative for Arc Platform, Circle Agent Stack, and related products. This role sits inside the product org and shapes messaging for reporters, developers, and fintech audiences.

You’ll embed early in the development cycle, plan launches, manage top tech media relationships, and guide executive thought leadership for Circle’s technology leaders across conferences and media outlets.

Qualifications

• 10+ years of experience in product or technology communications.
• Track record building product brands over time — not just launches.
• Deep relationships with Tier 1 tech media covering infrastructure, fintech, or payments.
• Experience with developer-facing products and builder communities and press.
• Familiarity with AI agent landscape and programmable money infrastructure.
• Strong technical fluency to read product docs and engineering briefs and translate to media-ready messaging.
• Experience developing executive thought leadership programs, including speaker strategy and stage management.
• Exceptional written and verbal communication skills for diverse audiences.
• High autonomy with ability to own strategy and execute without delay.
• Familiarity with generative AI models (Claude, ChatGPT, Gemini) and related workflows.
• Must be based in San Francisco or Palo Alto.

Responsibilities

• Own Circle’s media narrative for Arc Platform, Circle Agent Stack, and related products.
• Lead product launch communications, media relationships, and stage presence.
• Embed with product org early in development to shape narratives pre-launch.
• Set media strategy and execution for all major launches and milestones.
• Develop messaging for Circle’s technology leaders across conferences and op-eds.
• Manage tier-1 tech media relationships and press outreach.
• Build executive thought leadership pipelines and briefing materials.
• Collaborate with community and Public Affairs for ecosystem communications.
• Scale media monitoring and briefing prep with AI-powered workflows.
• Drive crisis and issues management with product expertise.
• Model standards for narrative ownership and independence.
