Job summary

Circle is seeking a Director of Product & Technology Communications to own the company’s media narrative for Arc, Circle Payments Network, and related platforms. You’ll be embedded early in roadmap planning and will lead launch communications, media relationships, and stage presence to position Circle as a technology company.

This role will shape how Circle is perceived by customers, builders, journalists, and the wider industry, including the AI and agentic economy circuit, with a strong focus

Qualifications

• 10+ years of experience in product or technology communications
• Track record building product brands over time with forward-looking narrative strategy
• Deep relationships with Tier 1 technology and business media
• Experience with developer-facing products or platforms
• Familiarity with the AI agent landscape and related media
• Strong technical fluency and ability to translate technical detail into media-ready positioning
• Experience developing executive thought leadership programs
• Exceptional written and verbal communication skills
• High autonomy in identifying work, building strategy, and executing
• Familiarity with generative AI models and their communications workflows
• Must be based in San Francisco or Palo Alto

Responsibilities

• Own Circle’s media narrative for Arc, Circle’s platforms, and related products.
• Embed with the product organization early for planning and scoping.
• Lead product launch communications, media relationships, and stage presence.
• Shape messaging for customers, builders, journalists, and the industry.
• Develop executive thought leadership and op-ed materials.
• Manage tier-1 tech media relationships and AI/agentic economy press.
• Collaborate with the community team on developer communications.
• Support crisis and issues management with product experts.
