Product Specialist (Bilingual Preferred)

The Product Specialist is a technical resource for the market sales team, supporting all Axalta products across various segments including Premium, Mainstream, and Economy to promote growth and customer loyalty. The role involves working as part of a sales team to contribute to sales growth and customer satisfaction.

This is a remote-based role in Seattle, Washington, covering Washington and Alaska areas, with up to 25% travel required.

Key Responsibilities:
  • Develop, train, and support distributor personnel to meet customer needs, focusing on new products, technical support, training, and value-added programs.
  • Be trained and proficient in all Axalta brands, technologies, and processes to lead installations, train and certify painters, and troubleshoot issues.
  • Conduct educational events like refinisher meetings, lunch and learns, WOW sessions, and counter clinics to optimize paint and material system performance.
  • Maintain safety awareness, emphasizing safe product application and PPE use, serving as an example to customers.
  • Support market activities actively, collaborate with team members, and contribute ideas during meetings.
  • Complete ongoing training, assessments, and certifications for all Axalta brands and technologies.
  • Use Axalta account management tools to support key accounts and reinforce the technical support network.
  • Manage selling expenses within budget and stay current with industry trends and associations.
  • Demonstrate teamwork and maintain a flexible schedule with willingness to travel.
Job Requirements:
  • High School Diploma (preferred).
  • At least 5 years of industry experience.
  • Valid Driver’s License.
  • Fluency in English required; Spanish beneficial.
  • Good computer skills (email, Word, Excel, PowerPoint).
  • Ability to prioritize, understand body shop operations, and communicate effectively.
  • Strong problem-solving, time management, and interpersonal skills.
  • Self-motivated and professional in appearance and conduct.
  • Business acumen and customer focus, with ability to network internally and externally.
