Dixon is seeking a Product Sales Specialist to join our Dixon Quick Coupling division overseeing the East Coast!

The Product Specialist is a key role in driving revenue growth for Dixon Quick Coupling. This outside sales position focuses on developing and maintaining relationships with customers in a defined territory, providing expert technical support, and promoting the full range of Dixon Quick Coupling products. Responsibilities include identifying new business opportunities, conducting product demonstrations and trainings, new market development, and collaborating with internal teams to ensure customer satisfaction. The ideal candidate will possess a strong technical aptitude, a proven track record in outside sales, and a passion for delivering exceptional customer service. This role will be required to regularly visit distributors, end users, and OEM’s, planning activities weekly/monthly based on need. Travel required is 50+%. Expect both car and air travel.

States include: Maine, New Hampshire, Massachusetts, Rhode Island, Connecticut, New York, New Jersey, Delaware, Maryland, Virginia, North Carolina, South Carolina, Georgia, Florida, and Ohio.

Responsibilities

  • Create and deliver product presentations to distributors and end users.
  • Maintain and grow customer relationships within assigned regions.
  • Carry out sales programs and initiatives
  • Plan sales activities on a daily, weekly, and monthly basis
  • Properly document all activity in Salesforce.com
  • Support product development efforts working with end users and OEMs
  • New market analysis and development

Competencies

  • Great communication skills (both written and oral).
  • Person must be able to think mechanically (mechanical aptitude; vision of how things work).
  • Excellent time management skills.
  • Strong computer skills.
  • Proficient with Microsoft Office and Google Suite.
  • Ability to listen to and interpret customer need and provide sales solutions
  • Ability to establish and build relationships with customers.
  • Self starter. Highly motivated.
