About the Role

Are you a NGS subject matter expert interested in technical sales?

Do you value diversity, communication, collaboration, and teamwork?

As the Technical Sales Specialist, you will support pre-sales activities in your region, working closely with the sales team and leadership. You will serve as the NGS expert, sharing knowledge through meetings, seminars, webinars, and other activities. You will also help close sales to meet your annual targets.

Responsibilities
  1. Partner with sales to generate, qualify, and close opportunities.
  2. Collaborate with product management, R&D, marketing, and field sales to develop technical content and strategies.
  3. Maintain records and provide forecasts.
  4. Gather and share market intelligence and feedback.
  5. Provide regular business activity reports.
  6. Coordinate technical and promotional events.
  7. Achieve sales goals through customer engagement.
  8. Work with sales to develop account growth strategies.
  9. Mentor and train colleagues and customers as needed.
Qualifications
  • Organized, detail-oriented, results-driven.
  • Strong networking skills.
  • Ability to prioritize and manage schedules.
  • Excellent interpersonal communication skills.
Work Location & Travel
  • Location: Remote, with preference for candidates in East Coast hubs (NYC, Philly, Boston, D.C./Baltimore, RTP).
  • Territory: East Coast Life Sciences Corridor.
  • Travel: Over 80% within the region.
Required Experience & Education
  • 8+ years in NGS, including sample prep, library creation, sequencing, data analysis, troubleshooting.
  • Experience with automation is a plus.
  • Background in immunology, cell biology, oncology, molecular biology.
  • Strong presentation skills and technical communication.
  • Sales process knowledge and closing skills.
  • Bachelor’s in life sciences; PhD preferred.
Compensation & Benefits

Salary range: $100,000 - $160,000 DOE.
