Join to apply for the Security Sales Specialist - East Coast role at TierPoint

TierPoint is seeking a motivated Security Sales Specialist to join their team. The Security Practice helps clients protect their critical information through innovative services, best practices, and technical leadership. You will collaborate with the Sales team to consult with customers and develop solutions addressing their business and IT security challenges. This is a remote position working with sales teams across multiple markets, playing a vital role in pre-sales and supporting both direct and channel initiatives.

In this role, you will work with various stakeholders across the company, including Sales, Marketing, and Professional Services. The ideal candidate will manage multiple projects with an entrepreneurial spirit, aiming to grow the security practice as if working at a startup.

Responsibilities
  • Prospect new customers and expand business with existing clients by effectively positioning our security services as essential complements to other TierPoint offerings.
  • Drive the sales process for our security solutions, including qualifying opportunities, forecasting, and assisting in closing sales.
  • Articulate the value of our security offerings to both technical and non-technical audiences.
  • Conduct client presentations, demos, and workshops to increase awareness and engagement.
  • Learn and understand the company's offerings through self-study, certifications, and training.
  • Ensure solutions meet customer expectations and business needs.
  • Adopt a consultative approach and share technical responsibilities with engineering teams.
  • Build relationships with account and channel teams, as well as customer technical personnel, to establish credibility and understanding of security needs.
  • Provide excellent internal and external customer service in line with company values.
  • Perform other duties as assigned.
Qualifications

  • Knowledge of security concerns and issues.
  • Excellent negotiation skills.
  • Self-motivated with minimal oversight.
  • Ability to understand complex technical and sales situations and seek necessary resources.
  • Relevant professional experience and knowledge.
  • Strong verbal, written, and interpersonal skills.
  • Effective prioritization and organization skills.
  • Ability to manage multiple projects simultaneously.
  • Ability to work independently and collaboratively.
  • Experience with CRM tools like Salesforce.
  • Proficiency in MS Office and Windows applications.
Preferred Experience
  • At least 2 years in security product/service sales.
  • Required certification: CompTIA Security+.
  • Optional certifications: SSCP, OSCP, CEH, CISSP.
  • Prior experience in the IT services industry is a plus.
Working Conditions
  • Ability to travel approximately 25% for meetings.
  • Work from home; position must be located on the East Coast.
Pay Transparency

TierPoint promotes pay equity and transparency. The listed salary range is $101,000 - $155,161.86, subject to factors like experience, location, and skills. This range does not include potential bonuses or commissions.
