GE Aerospace seeks an SMS Focal to coordinate the Safety Management System for the West Jefferson and Asheville sites. You will promote a proactive product safety culture, drive risk reduction through SRM, and ensure regulatory compliance with enterprise SMS standards.

The role collaborates with site leaders and cross-functional teams to move from reactive to predictive safety management, with opportunities to grow as the new regulatory environment matures.

Qualifications

• Bachelor’s Degree from an accredited college or university.
• Minimum of 5 years of quality/safety experience in a manufacturing or aerospace environment.
• Experience with problem-solving root cause analysis tools.
• Auditing experience.

Responsabilités

• Lead the development, implementation, and maintenance of the site’s SMS.
• Coordinate safety risk management with SAT/SRB and cross-functional teams.
• Prepare and submit product safety performance reports to the SMS Delegate and Enterprise teams.
• Monitor site-level compliance with enterprise SMS policies and conduct audits.
• Support product Safety Risk Management within change management initiatives.
• Provide SMS and Human Factors training to employees across the site.
• Collaborate across GE Aerospace to share lessons learned and align on SMS objectives.
• Track product safety performance metrics and drive improvements.
