Job summary

Dairy Farmers of America, Inc. in Texas is seeking a warehouse associate to perform loading, unloading, and material movement near the plant. You will support receiving, storing, and distributing tasks to fulfill daily orders and maintain organized product rotation.

The role requires teamwork, accurate record-keeping, and the ability to operate computer systems in a fast-paced environment. You will follow SOPs, GMPs, and safety regulations while contributing to continuous improvement and quality

Qualifications

  • High school diploma or equivalent preferred.
  • Warehouse, production, or general work experience preferred.
  • Certification and/or License may be required during employment.

Responsibilities

  • Load, unload, and move materials within or near plant, yard or work site.
  • Receive, store, and distribute tasks to support product distribution.
  • Pull and stack product based on daily orders.
  • Meet customer orders in a timely manner.
  • Keep products separated, organized, and rotated.
  • Support preventative maintenance plans and monitor quality.
  • Complete production and quality logs and document accurately.
  • Ensure all paperwork is clear, legible, and complete.
  • Document information per SOPs and GMPs.
  • Identify opportunities to improve processes with a continuous improvement mindset.
  • Report food safety and quality issues to management.
  • Maintain safe working conditions and comply with health and safety regulations.

Job description

Perform a variety of duties in loading, unloading, and moving materials within or near plant, yard, or work site.

  • Perform any combination of receiving, storing, and distributing tasks to assist in the distribution of product
  • Pull and stack product based on daily orders
  • Meet specifics of customer orders in a timely manner
  • Maintain keeping products separated, organized, and in good rotation
  • Support preventative maintenance plans
  • Monitor product quality frequently and report problems to mitigate safety issues
  • Complete production and quality logs
  • Furnish accurate counts on load tags
  • Ensure all paperwork is filled out in a clear, legible, and accurate format and completed with required information
  • Ensure all required information is documented in accordance with SOP’s
  • Utilizing continuous improvement mindset, assist in identifying opportunities to improve processes
  • Report any food safety and food quality related issues to management immediately
  • Maintain safe working conditions for employees and compliance with all state and federal regulations regarding health and safety issues
  • Follow all DFA good manufacturing practices (GMP) and work in a manner consistent with all corporate regulatory, food safety, quality, and sanitation requirements

EDUCATION AND EXPERIENCE
  • High school diploma or equivalent preferred
  • Warehouse, production, or general work experience preferred
