Tekion, a leading cloud-native automotive platform company, is seeking a Senior Privacy Counsel to advise on privacy, product development, and regulatory compliance. You will partner with product and engineering teams to embed privacy-by-design, review data-processing provisions, and conduct PIAs/DPIAs.

You will monitor evolving global privacy laws and help develop internal policies and playbooks. The role requires 6–9 years in legal practice focused on privacy law, a JD, and strong

Competenze

• 6-9 years of legal experience with a focus on product counseling and privacy law
• Juris Doctor (JD) from an accredited institution; active bar membership in good standing
• Strong knowledge of global data privacy laws and regulatory frameworks
• Experience advising product and engineering teams within a technology company
• CIPP/US, CIPP/E, CIPT, or similar certifications preferred
• Excellent communication, collaboration, and project management skills

Mansioni

• Provides legal counsel on privacy, product development, and regulatory compliance, enabling Tekion to deliver innovative solutions while maintaining trust and meeting global legal obligations.
• Advises on product design and implementation to ensure compliance with global privacy laws, including GDPR, CCPA/CPRA, and emerging regulations.
• Partners with Product and Engineering teams to embed privacy-by-design and privacy-by-default into product development lifecycles.
• Reviews and negotiates privacy-related provisions in commercial agreements, including data processing and cross-border transfer clauses.
• Conducts privacy impact assessments (PIAs), data protection impact assessments (DPIAs), and risk analyses for new features and initiatives.
• Monitors and interprets changes in privacy, AI, and digital regulation to ensure proactive compliance.
• Develops and maintains internal policies, guidance documents, and playbooks related to privacy and product compliance.
• Collaborates with Security, Compliance, and IT teams on incident response, data governance, and user rights management.
