Job summary

The City of New York's Department of Youth and Community Development seeks a Systems Analyst/Product Owner to join the Data & Reporting team. You will analyze business requests, gather requirements, model processes, and design solutions, acting as a liaison between business stakeholders and the technical team.

You will manage the product backlog, prioritize features, write user stories, participate in Scrum ceremonies, and support testing and reporting to improve customer value.

Qualifications

• Master's degree in computer science with at least 3 years IT experience in applications or systems development.
• Bachelor's degree with 4 years IT experience in IT domains such as applications, systems, data, or networking.
• High school diploma with 6 years of progressively responsible IT experience, including supervisory duties.

Responsibilities

• Apply business analysis methodologies to gather requirements and obtain sign-off.
• Develop prototypes, process models, and specifications for the project team.
• Manage and track requirements through the project lifecycle; communicate changes to stakeholders.
