Job summary

NYC Department of Environmental Protection (DEP) seeks a dynamic Business Analyst within the Business Services Group. You will report to the Director and lead process-improvement projects, analyze data, and prepare dashboards for management review.

The role requires strong writing skills and the ability to handle multiple tasks in a busy environment. Appointments are subject to OMB approval; residency requirements apply in NYC.

Qualifications

• Master's degree is required; or
• Bachelor's degree plus 2 years of qualifying experience
• Associate degree plus 4 years of qualifying experience
• High school diploma plus 6 years of qualifying experience
• Juris Doctor degree from an accredited law school welcome

Responsibilities

• Project manage process improvement projects from ideation to implementation.
• Analyze data and prepare reports, summaries, and dashboards for management review.
• Coordinate project timelines, trackers, and follow up on items.
• Draft and edit internal communications, memos, and documentation.
• Perform administrative and analytical tasks to support Business Services Group.
• Manage special projects initiated by the Director.
