Job summary

City of New York's DEP is seeking a Business Analyst within the Bureau of Customer Services to support process improvement, data analysis, and reporting. You will report to the Director and manage projects from ideation through implementation.

Requirements include strong analytical and writing abilities, Excel proficiency, experience with technology projects, and DEP Bureau of Customer Services experience. 35 hours per week, on-site at Lefrak Building in Flushing.

Qualifications

• Master's degree in economics, finance, accounting, business or public administration or related field.
• Bachelor's degree plus two years of professional experience in budget, accounting, or analysis.
• Associate degree with four years of relevant experience as described.
• High school diploma and six years of relevant professional experience.
• A combination of education and/or experience equivalent to the above, with required high school diploma.

Responsibilities

• Project manage process improvement initiatives from ideation to implementation.
• Analyze data and prepare reports, summaries, and dashboards for management.
• Coordinate timelines, trackers, and follow up on items.
• Draft and edit internal communications and documentation.
• Support Business Services Group with administrative and analytical tasks.
• Handle special projects initiated by the Director.
