Job summary

M&T Bank is seeking a Product Owner II in the Buffalo, NY area to lead a large product or set of products, representing customer and stakeholder voices to drive value aligned with business strategy.

You will partner with business owners to define vision, sequence backlogs, write user stories with acceptance criteria, and communicate effectively with senior leadership and agile teams to guide iterative delivery.

Qualifications

• Bachelor's degree and a minimum of 6 years' business, analytical, technical and/or product experience, or a combination of education and work experience totaling 10 years, with at least 6 years in business/analytical/technical/product roles.

Responsibilities

• Build and enable the product vision and roadmap that align with strategic intent and communicate them to the team and stakeholders.
• Represent the voice of the customer within the team and convey story details; make autonomous decisions to move delivery forward.
• Write user stories and refine the backlog with acceptance criteria for ATDD.
• Collaborate with the delivery team to create information radiators and tracking tools showing progress on large products.
• Participate in team ceremonies and use influencing skills with business partners to advocate for customer benefits.
• Ensure adherence to risk, regulatory standards, and internal controls.
