Job summary

M&T Bank Corporation is seeking a seasoned Product Owner II to lead the strategy and execution of a next‑generation payments rail within its Digital Assets and Payments ecosystem. The role focuses on product vision, agile delivery, and strong collaboration with business leaders and technology teams to deliver measurable value.

You will own the backlog, write user stories, define acceptance criteria, and drive ATDD while navigating regulatory considerations.

Qualifications

• Bachelor’s degree and a minimum of 6 years’ business, analytical, technical and/or product experience.
• Prior experience in payments (Wire, ACH, Zelle, or Digital Assets) is preferred.
• Experience collaborating with cross‑functional partners and guiding agile teams.

Responsibilities

• Build and own the product vision and roadmap aligned with the strategic intent.
• Prioritize backlogs based on vision and strategy; communicate to team and stakeholders.
• Write user stories and groom backlogs; define acceptance criteria for ATDD.
• Collaborate with delivery teams to create information radiators and progress reports.
• Influence senior partners across the organization to advocate for customer outcomes.
