athenahealth is seeking a Senior Associate in Product Operations to help shape how product delivery and governance function across the athenaOne portfolio, with emphasis on athenaClinicals and value-based care offerings. This role partners with product managers and cross-functional teams to support feature execution, governance, and lifecycle decisions.

The position is based in Belfast, ME or Boston, MA, with a minimum of one day per week in office.

Qualifications

• Bachelor’s degree or equivalent practical experience.
• 5+ years of professional experience.
• 1–2 years in product management or operations.
• Experience with electronic health records and value-based care preferred.
• Experience with AI tools such as Claude, GPT, Codex, or similar.
• Ability to use AI/automation to improve productivity and decisions.
• Strong understanding of SDLC and agile methodologies.
• Healthcare technology experience preferred.
• Proven ability to influence across functions without direct authority.
• Strong analytical and communication skills; clear actions.
• Comfortable in ambiguous, fast-changing environments.
• Self-directed with follow-through and accountability.

Responsabilités

• Support feature delivery from idea through GA.
• Surface risks, trends, and portfolio insights.
• Coordinate cross-team and portfolio dependencies.
• Support adherence to timelines and cadences.
• Assist alpha/beta planning with test design and criteria.
• Help with readiness and release activities for AI features.
• Validate use cases, assess risk, and prepare customer materials.
• Analyze portfolio data to identify risks and opportunities.
• Communicate recommendations for prioritization.
• Ensure measurement of business and user outcomes.
• Leverage AI tools to summarize, draft analyses, compare options.
• Document workflows, standards, and best practices.
