Job description

Product Manager - Advanced Wound Care (Manufacturing)

Job Summary

Under general supervision, manage the full product lifecycle including sourcing, marketing, new product development, sales support, and financial growth of assigned products. Work with and train the sales force to confidently sell the product to customers.

Responsibilities:

  1. Identify and develop new products and manage each stage of the process through to market launch.
  2. Develop and implement comprehensive marketing plans and promotional programs for existing products, including product strategy, pricing, collateral creation, and brand management.
  3. Review monthly financial performance, analyze sales trends, and determine contributing factors. Offer solutions for sales or cost issues. Prepare forecasts including revenue and expenses, supporting budgets with detailed marketing plans.
  4. Collaborate with Manufacturing, Purchasing, and Engineering to reduce costs, assess packaging, materials, and shipping options. Manage inventory to eliminate surplus and optimize SKU count. Negotiate pricing with vendors and develop products with vendors.
  5. Analyze and bid on GPO and/or IDN contracts for assigned product categories.
  6. Develop and deliver training materials for internal teams, sales forces, and customers. Create sales tools.
  7. Conduct market research and translate findings into new products, improvements, or line extensions, leading cross-functional teams.
  8. Travel with sales team to support customer conversions and follow up with product inquiries via email and phone.

Required Experience:

  • Bachelor's degree
  • At least 2 years of experience in marketing, sales, product management, or clinical practice, preferably in healthcare.

Knowledge / Skills / Abilities:

  • Negotiation experience with vendors and internal teams.
  • Financial data analysis skills.
  • Willingness to travel up to 25% for business purposes.
  • Intermediate skills in Microsoft Word, PowerPoint, and Excel, with specific capabilities listed.
