Job summary

Affirm invites applications for a Chief of Staff to the SVP of Product. This role partners with senior leaders to scale the product function, own the external narrative, and lead strategic bets such as AI enablement.

The position focuses on building a high-quality Product org with clear decisions and low latency. You will collaborate across Product, Engineering, Design, Revenue, Finance, and HR to drive planning, execution, and governance while maintaining a customer-centric, transparent

Qualifications

• 10+ years building product credibility and strategic narrative in high-growth tech
• Experience running people processes at scale (hiring, calibrations, leveling, talent reviews)
• Exceptional written communication including ghostwriting and board prep
• Ability to spot organizational dysfunction and leadership gaps early
• Comfort influencing senior leaders across Product, Engineering, Design, Revenue, Finance, HR

Responsibilities

• Design and run the product leadership team rhythms (meetings, reviews, offsites) with clear agendas and decision records
• Co-own hiring, calibrations, and talent reviews with HRBP; surface risks and propose solutions
• Collaborate with Technology Operations on roadmap planning and OKR tracking
• Own headcount planning and budget management with Finance and HRBP
• Drive AI retooling and embed AI-enabled processes in Product
• Curate external product narrative; draft updates and talks with PR and brand team
• Prepare executive briefings and leadership communications to reduce decision latency
• Monitor org health metrics and escalate early signals to prevent structural issues
