Job summary

Affirm is seeking a Chief of Staff to the SVP of Product to scale the product leadership function. You will anchor on the leveraged people problems most central to the org, own the external product narrative end-to-end, and drive strategic bets such as AI enablement.

The goal is a healthy Product org with high-quality pillar leads, faster decisions, and a clearer vision for Product’s direction and impact.

Qualifications

• 10+ years in roles that built product credibility and strategic-narrative chops.
• Track record running people processes (hiring, calibrations, leveling, reviews) at scale.
• Exceptional written communication; ghostwriting and board prep experience.
• Pattern-matching to identify dysfunctions like broken funnels or leadership gaps.
• Comfort influencing across senior leaders without formal authority.
• Strong analytical foundation for product metrics and business growth.

Responsibilities

• Design and run the product leadership team rhythms (staff meetings, product reviews, all-teams, offsites).
• Co-own people rhythms with HRBP; surface hiring funnels, attrition signals, and risks with proactive solutions.
• Partner with Technology Operations to define roadmap planning and OKR tracking.
• Own headcount planning and budget management with Finance and HRBP: planning and reforecasts.
• Drive AI retooling and enablement, including internal AI masterclasses for leadership.
• Curate external product narrative; act as a speechwriter with PR, comms, and brand.
• Prepare executive briefings and leadership communications; reduce decision latency across Product leadership.
• Run recurring org health pulse and escalate early signals before they become problems.
