Job summary

AMETEK is seeking a Commercialization Program Manager to coordinate new product commercialization from concept through launch in Rochester, NY. You will drive the Phase-Gate process, align with Product Management, Engineering, Sales, Marketing, Operations, and Service, and ensure ready-for-market launches.

The role reports to the Director of Engineering and Commercialization and requires strong cross-functional leadership, project management, and ability to leverage AI-enabled tools to improve

Qualifications

• Bachelor's degree in business, engineering, marketing, or related field.
• 3+ years coordinating cross-functional projects with Engineering and at least two other functions (e.g., Product Management, Sales, Marketing, Operations, Supply Chain, Quality, or Service).
• 3+ years of experience in product management, project management, program management, commercialization, or new product development in a technical industry.
• Experience supporting at least one technical product launch from development through commercial release.
• Experience building and maintaining project schedules, action logs, risk registers, status reports, and leadership presentations.
• Experience using project management and collaboration tools to organize work, communicate status, and drive follow-through.
• Legal right to work in the U.S. and authorization to access export-controlled information and source code.

Responsibilities

• Coordinate the New Product Development Phase-Gate process including planning, gate preparation, deliverable tracking, reviews, approvals, and follow-up actions.
• Manage multiple commercialization projects from analysis through launch, tracking schedules, milestones, dependencies, budgets, risks, and ownership.
• Provide concise status reporting to project teams and business leadership.
• Coordinate launch readiness across Product Management, Engineering, Sales, Marketing, Operations, Supply Chain, Quality, and Service.
• Develop and maintain commercialization and go-to-market plans, including market opportunity, pricing inputs, channels, sales tools, and training.
• Support Voice of Customer activities, market research, business cases, product requirements, and opportunity assessments.
• Plan and facilitate project meetings, Gate reviews, launch reviews, and post-launch lessons learned.
• Identify and mitigate schedule, resource, cost, quality, and launch-readiness risks; escalate as needed.
• Ensure customer-facing and internal launch materials are ready for commercial release.
• Track post-launch metrics, customer feedback, open actions, and improvement opportunities.
• Enhance the commercialization process with standard work, dashboards, templates, and AI-enabled tools.
