Job summary

Prospiant in Dallas, TX seeks a Product Engineer with a technical background in Building Products or Construction to drive continuous improvement across the lifecycle of residential roofing products, including attic ventilation, trims, flashings, and roof drainage.

You will collaborate with Product Management, Sales, Customer Service, Operations, and Supply Chain to develop innovative solutions and support revenue growth while ensuring safety, quality, and production efficiency.

Qualifications

• Bachelor’s Degree in Mechanical or Construction Engineering (or related degree/equivalent experience).
• Up to 3 years of experience in Building Products or Construction; manufacturing exp. with metal stamping & injection molding is a strong plus.
• SolidWorks and SolidWorks PDM experience; MS Office and Adobe PDF proficiency.
• Basic understanding of electrical components and motors (AC/DC) to support motorized attic fans; drafting tools like AutoCAD, DraftSight, BlueBeam a plus; 3D printing a plus.

Responsibilities

• Product Lifecycle Management: Lead full-lifecycle development from research to launch and ongoing simplification.
• Design & Compliance: Design, test, and modify products; ensure regulatory and safety compliance.
• Cross-Functional Collaboration: Act as technical liaison among departments; pitch concepts and manage testing.
• Documentation & Systems: Maintain product docs, test docs, project docs, and ERP updates.
