Amrize is seeking a Senior Product Development and Process Engineer to lead the lifecycle development of next-generation commercial roofing systems in Fishers, Indiana. You will blend polymer science with hands-on manufacturing and customer insights to design, model, test and scale advanced roofing solutions.

Qualifications

• Bachelor's degree in Chemical Engineering, Polymer Science/Engineering, Materials Science, Mechanical Engineering, or related discipline.
• 10+ years of progressive engineering experience in polymer formulation, material characterization, and process development within roofing/building materials.
• Expertise in TPO, EPDM, and ISO chemistry and melt processing.
• Knowledge of polymer characterization techniques (DSC, TGA, DMA, rheology).
• Proficiency with FEA software (Hyperworks, ANSYS, Abaqus, SolidWorks Simulation).
• Strong root-cause analysis and troubleshooting in extrusion/foaming manufacturing.
• Innovative, analytical, customer-focused with cross-functional communication.

Responsibilities

• Lead lifecycle development of next-generation commercial roofing systems from concept to commercialization.
• Blend polymer science with manufacturing and customer insights; design, model, test, and scale solutions for TPO/EPDM/ISO materials.
• Bridge R&D, plant operations, and field performance; collaborate with Product Management, Operations, QA, and Procurement.
• Perform CAE simulations (FEA/CFD) for structural, thermal, impact and wind-uplift; run process simulations.
• Design and execute physical tests to validate models and ensure compliance with FM/UL/ASTM.
• Troubleshoot processing issues related to polymer rheology and raw materials to improve yields.
• Ensure safety compliance and promote a culture of safety.
