Job summary

Gibraltar Industries, Inc. is seeking a Product Engineer to drive continuous improvement across residential roofing products, including attic ventilation, trims, flashings, and roof drainage.

You will collaborate with Product Management, Sales, Customer Service, Operations, and Supply Chain to develop innovative solutions, optimize lines, and support revenue growth while ensuring safety and quality. The role requires a mechanical/ construction background, up to 3 years in Building Products, and

Qualifications

• Bachelor’s Degree in Mechanical or Construction Engineering (or related degree/equivalent experience).
• Up to 3 years of experience in Building Products or Construction industry.
• Minimum 1 year of SolidWorks and SolidWorks PDM experience; MS Office and Adobe PDF proficiency.
• Basic understanding of electrical components and motors (AC/DC) for motorized attic fans.
• Experience with AutoCAD, DraftSight, and BlueBeam; 3D printing and rapid prototyping a plus.
• Detail-oriented, highly organized, strong teamwork and commercial awareness.

Responsibilities

• Lead full-lifecycle product development from market research to manufacturing trials and launch.
• Design, test, and modify products to meet requirements; ensure regulatory compliance and performance.
• Act as technical liaison across Product Management, Sales, Customer Service, Operations and Supply Chain; manage external testing when needed.
• Maintain accurate product documentation, test docs, project records and ERP system updates.
