Job summary

Samsung Electronics America, Inc. seeks a Product Engineer to support mechanical and electrical parts for critical line functions (Frame/Tub/Spin) on WA/WB lines.

You will assist in new model development, troubleshoot production loops, and collaborate with HQ and Mold teams to improve quality, safety, and productivity on-site in the United States. Required are a Bachelor’s in Electrical or Mechanical Engineering and 2–3 years in manufacturing or electronics.

Qualifications

• Bachelor’s degree in Electrical or Mechanical Engineering is required.
• 2–3 years of Manufacturing, Mechanics, or Electronic Engineering experience preferred (entry 0–2 years, senior 2–4, sector lead 5+).
• Proficiency with CAD, AutoCAD, CAM software; lean Six Sigma knowledge preferred.

Responsibilities

• Collaborate with Production and Engineering to implement, optimize, and troubleshoot test loops on the production line.
• Monitor critical machine functions to ensure quality and process adherence.
• Lead quality, safety, and productivity improvement projects across the product lifecycle.
• Draft and revise development standards, policies, and procedures.
• Provide technical solutions for electrical or mechanical issues during plant setup.
• Assist Product Engineering Manager in staff training for a team of PEs.
• Participate in New Model/CR discussions for information sharing and action-item updates.
• Verify Engineering Change Samples for quality, cost, and delivery improvements.
• Collaborate with HQ PE and Mold teams on mold modification requests to solve line issues.
• Suggest design improvements to mass production materials to enhance quality and productivity.
• Collaborate with cross-functional teams on changes to billings, drawings, and engineering specifications.
