Samsung Austin Semiconductor is seeking a Mechanical Systems Engineer to join the Facilities Engineering Team. You will lead improvement projects for Exhaust and Process Systems, review designs, and manage critical projects while supporting 24/7 operations in a high-precision wafer fab.

Qualifications

• Bachelor’s degree in Mechanical or Chemical Engineering.
• 8+ years of experience in plant operations, reliability engineering, or design engineering.

Responsibilities

• Lead team of 5+ engineers and project managers, fostering a collaborative and safety-conscious environment.
• Promote process safety and ensure compliance with site air permits and abatement efficiencies.
• Oversee project development and execution within the exhaust systems scope including design, cost estimating, and documentation.
• Provide day-to-day operations, maintenance and engineering support for Facilities Operations Maintenance.
• Forecast capacity needs and develop capital improvement plans to meet future demand.
• Lead root cause analysis and coordinate multi‑disciplinary teams to resolve critical issues.
