Job summary

OPW, a Dover company, seeks a Product Engineer in Hamilton, OH to lead front-end design for fluid transfer products. You will collaborate with engineers and product management to design, prototype, test, and bring new products to production.

Responsibilities include CAD modeling, DFMA, risk analyses, and documentation; travel up to 10% to support cross-functional teams and manufacturing partners. A BS in Mechanical Engineering and 3–5+ years of design experience are required.

Qualifications

• Bachelor’s degree in Mechanical Engineering (BSME).
• 3–5+ years of design or related engineering experience.
• Proficient in 3D CAD (Creo) and Windchill preferred.
• Knowledge of stage-gate, FMEA, DFMA, and ERP systems.

Responsibilities

• Use CAD to create detailed mechanical designs, 3D models, and 2D drawings.
• Manage project plans, deadlines, and cost targets with cross-functional teams.
• Build, test, and refine prototypes to meet safety and regulatory goals.
• Collaborate with operations to optimize manufacturing processes using DFMA.
• Document BOMs, drawings, FMEA, and change records for engineering changes.
• Provide technical support to manufacturing, quality, and supply chain.
