Job summary

OPW, a Dover company in Hamilton, OH, seeks an Applications Engineer to quote custom fluid transfer systems. You will leverage field data to design safe, manufacturable solutions and deliver accurate 3D CAD models and layouts for customer specs.

The role bridges sales and production, demanding strong math, CAD skills, and collaboration with engineering, manufacturing, and sales teams to optimize quotes and BOMs.

Qualifications

• Bachelor’s degree in Engineering (BSME/BSMET).
• Two years of professional engineering or technical quoting experience.
• Proficiency with 3D CAD (Creo/ProE preferred) and 2D CAD (AutoCAD preferred).
• Experience using Excel and Oracle ERP for quoting processes.

Responsibilities

• Prepare quotes for custom piping and swivel equipment and terminal layouts.
• Meet KPI targets for quote accuracy, verification, and turnaround times.
• Create detailed BOMs and support production on transfer to manufacturing.
• Collaborate with Sales to translate field notes into viable options.
• Coordinate with Sales, Engineering, and Manufacturing to streamline quoting to PO.
