Job summary

SSi People is seeking a Product Engineer in Southfield, MI to support vehicle launch programs by delivering design and release work for evaporative emissions vapor valve applications. The role involves prototype development, testing, and coordinating activities across engineering and program teams.

You will work with DFMEA, Boundary Diagrams, DVP&R, PVP&R, and DFSS disciplines, require strong communication, and help provide technical support for customers and plant personnel.

Qualifications

• Experience supporting design and release for vehicle launch programs.
• Knowledge of DFMEA, Boundary Diagrams, DVP&R, PVP&R, and DFSS.
• Background in evaporative emissions and vapor valve applications.
• Clear written and verbal communication with stakeholders and customers.

Responsibilities

• Coordinate product engineering deliverables in support of vehicle launch programs.
• Develop design solutions for evaporative emissions and vapor valve applications.
• Support prototype development, analysis, procurement, fabrication, testing.
• Collaborate with engineering, design, testing, program management, sales, manufacturing, supply chain, customers, partners, and suppliers to meet objectives and timing.
