Equiliem is seeking a Product Design and Release Engineer for Fuel and Evaporative Emissions in Southfield, MI. The role focuses on vapor valve applications, coordinating cross-functional teams to meet timing, performance, and regulatory requirements.

Responsibilities include DFMEA, DVP&R, PVP&R, boundary diagrams, and DFSS activities, plus development of rugged, cost-effective valve designs and support through prototype testing and validation.

Qualifications

• Experience in product design and engine development for automotive components.
• Familiarity with DFMEA, DVP&R, PVP&R, boundary diagrams, and DFSS.
• Ability to analyze technical issues and develop practical design solutions.

Responsibilities

• Coordinate engineering deliverables for vehicle launches (DFMEA, DVP&R, PVP&R, DFSS).
• Develop commercially viable designs for fuel and evaporative emissions products, especially vapor valves.
• Support prototype development from analysis through testing and fabrication.
• Complete testing and communicate results to stakeholders, supporting timing requirements.
• Contribute to cost reduction, tooling transfers, and ongoing engineering activities.
• Collaborate across engineering, design, testing, program management, sales, manufacturing and supply chain.
